The Musical Creations Proffer — Who Did It?
Luck Stone Corporation's May 13, 2026 proffer for the 1,111-acre Carmel Technology and Enterprise Center rezoning included a $25,000 payment to Musical Creations Foundation — a nonprofit run from the home of Planning Commissioner J.D. Young's wife. The provision was removed after the conflict became public. This record documents who drafted it, who lobbied for it, and what the sworn state filings now show: the foundation's own deck lists a four-person board including the Commissioner — while every SCC annual report lists only his wife as sole director and officer. Both records cannot be accurate. All findings from public records alone: county video, proffer documents, BoardDocs, county packets, and the primary SCC filings below.

Colonial Church Site (c.1740) — Bull Church Road, Caroline County, Virginia
Bull Church was a colonial Anglican church built circa 1740 on land owned by Charles Yarbrough in St. Margaret's Parish, Caroline County — reputed to be the oldest church in the parish (est. 1720). The church ruins and a burial ground (Find a Grave Cemetery ID 2670093) sit on the north side of Bull Church Road (Route 633), Ladysmith, VA, at coordinates 38.02273, -77.49354. In 1821, four Madison family members signed a petition as freeholders of St. Margaret's Parish regarding the sale of Bull Church ruins — a primary source document directly connecting the Madison family to the site. Colonial court records from 1745 and 1748 document a road built specifically to serve this church. A Madison family descendant has provided oral history testimony confirming the family worked the land on Bull Church Road, visited the site with her grandfather, and that people are buried there. The site now faces direct threat from data center development on the same corridor.
